Department of Hindi

The Department of Hindi is committed to promoting the Hindi language, literature, and the rich cultural heritage of India through quality education, academic excellence, and value-based learning. The department strives to develop students' linguistic competence, communication skills, literary appreciation, and cultural awareness in alignment with the objectives of the State Education Policy (SEP) and AICTE guidelines.

The department offers courses designed to strengthen students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of Hindi while enhancing their critical thinking and analytical abilities. The curriculum provides exposure to classical and modern Hindi literature, grammar, linguistics, literary criticism, translation studies, folklore, media writing, and Indian Knowledge Systems, enabling students to appreciate the historical, cultural, and social significance of the language.

To ensure holistic development, the department regularly organizes seminars, guest lectures, workshops, literary competitions, essay writing, debates, poetry recitations, cultural programmes, Hindi Diwas celebrations, and extension activities. These initiatives enhance communication skills, creativity, leadership qualities, teamwork, and ethical values while encouraging active participation in literary and cultural pursuits.

The department is supported by qualified and dedicated faculty members who adopt learner-centric, outcome-based, and experiential teaching methodologies. Objectives of the Department
